Decorate the Christmas Tree with Hershey's Chocolate (Edible) Ornaments

I haven't seen too much innovation in this year's mass-market Christmas candy aisles. There are a lot of repeats from past years. Hershey's, however, delivered a clever addition this year--edible ornaments. About the size of a chocolate bar, each wrapper acts as a mold, and the chocolate pops out in that shape. You can hang them on the tree, and then pop a candy bar any time the urge hits!

Jelly Belly Holiday Favorites

Ingest all the holiday flavors without tucking in for a full meal with the festive Jelly Belly Holiday Favorites sampler. It's all highly subjective--I'm wild for the eggnog and cranberry and could skip the pumpkin pie and hot cocoa. Another winner for the Christmas stocking! Thanks, Ben!

Sourdoughnuts, Doughnut Plant, Brooklyn

I've reached the point of over-saturation of doughnuts recently. With Du Donuts within easy reach I have taste-tested to an unseemly extent. The staff recognizes me too easily. They have both yeast and cake donuts but I always go for the cake. Now Doughnut Plant has also moved a few blocks from home. When Doughnut Plant only existed on the deep Lower East Side I would trek in for just a taste of their incredible chai tea, ladled out of a crock pot and infused with the best spices on earth. No chai compares. Now it's just around the corner and I can't stop the visits! And although I had decided to abstain from a Doughnut Plant full donut immersion, I discovered their new brilliant invention, The Sourdoughnut. It's incredible. Each yeast doughnut is spiked with that distinct sourdough flavor, bringing down the sweet factor and letting the fruity flavors (like apricot!) sing. I've tasted a few flavors now and they're so flavorful. Doughnut over-saturation is now forgotten!

Jelly Belly Jellybeans: Disney Frozen II Mix

These Jelly Belly Frozen II jellybeans are a great treat for the Christmas stocking. It's a nice blend, and pretty, too, featuring Sparkling Berry Blue, Sparkling Blueberry (favorite!), Sparkling Cream Soda, Sparkling Very Cherry, and then Non-Sparkling Sour Orange for a little variety. Not just tasty, but likely longed for by Frozen II fans everywhere!

Trader Joe's Organic Dark Chocolate PB&J Mini

Red models the sweets (but does not eat them)

Trader Joe's really does sweets right. For instance, all I've ever really needed is a peanut butter and jelly chocolate bar--it was obvious from the beginning. Trader Joes delivers a beautiful creation based on this need, and then wraps it up in individually wrapped pieces so that you don't have to go "all in" in order to enjoy. That organic dark chocolate PB&J minis are fantastic and I'm considering keeping a stock of them at work for quick infusions of peanut butter! Thanks for introducing me to these, Mom!

Christmas Sours: SweeTarts Merry Mix

I love SweeTarts so much and enjoy these sour sugar bombs reconstituted as festive seasonal snowmen and Christmas trees. The entire box of Merry Mix was devoured instantaneously so I'm going back to the store to stock up.
