Chopin's Muse as Chocolate Cameo: Delfina P. Chocolates from Poland

Ooh what a great new discovery at the local Polish market! Delfina P. Chocolates are named for Delfina Potocka, once a muse of Frederic Chopin and a renowned beauty and intellect. The individually gold-foil wrapped bonbons consist of a hard dark chocolate shell filled with firm vanilla cream infused with mystery alcohol. The dark chocolate shell is adorned by an elegant white chocolate cameo of Delfina.

Let's just ease in with a little Christmas-themed candy corn.

Start your engines and get your sweet tooth in gear.....

Brach's Football Candy Corn

Happy football season, sweet readers! I don't follow it, personally, but welcome any Brach's candy corn variation, especially those in a larger size. The caramel flavor doesn't really work, but the classic and chocolate flavors more than make up for it!

Pacari Organic "Tree to Bar" Chocolate with Fig from Ecuador

Directly from Ecuador, Pacari chocolate is elevated bean to bar chocolate. They're the ideal example of why Ecuador is known for its chocolate. The Fig bar is especially decadent, with emphasis on the intense chocolate and only a whif, an aroma and subtle infusion of real fig. Thanks, Paola!
