Project 7 Cupcake Bites Sugar Free Gourmet Gum

Although a big fan of Project 7 Sugar Free Gourmet Gum, this Cupcake Bites flavor doesn't work at all. The artificial vanilla frosting flavor does not mix well with a sugar free gum consistency. Butter essence doesn't belong anywhere near a fresh healthy mouth. I'll stick with the less savory flavors of Project 7 in the near future...

Milky Way Fudge Bar

This new Milky Weigh Fudge Edition feels like a brick, weighted down by dense chocolate nougat topped with thick caramel. I really didn't love the taste of the chocolate nougat, which tasted more like a chocolate-aerated marshmallow rather than real chocolate fudge. It's all too much--too dense, too rich. I wonder if a "chocolate" version might taste better than a "fudge" version. Nice try, Milky Way, but I'll stick with the original.

Gummy Snapshot: Trolli Sour Brite Llamas

Trolli Sour Brite Gummies in an array of new flavor duos, now in Llama form!
Passion fruit - pineapple is the tastiest, and Strawberry-blueberry is good, too.
The mango - berry punch left me cold, but that's all subjective. I would probably opt for the classic Sour Brites of traditional flavors on future gummy forays, but these llamas were definitely a fun diversion.

Sweet Arts, Gelatina: Tulcingo Bakery, Corona, Queens

I love the saturated technicolors infused into a modern Gelatina dessert. They're absolutely mesmerizing. And fruits suspended within the transparent mold create fantastical underwater landscapes.  In skilled hands, a gelatina is a work of art. I never tire of stopping by Tulcingo Bakery in Corona, Queens on my evening commute. While grabbing a more transportable sweet, such as a pan dulce or churro, I always linger at the Gelatina case admiring the vivid tableau.
