Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Bourbon Caramel Squares


It's difficult to go wrong with any variation on a Ghirardelli Caramel Square. The chocolate company has a fantastic go-to caramel that is the ideal gooey consistency. The only thing is that the caramel and chocolate combination can become too cloyingly sweet. Here Ghirardelli has solved that problem by using a dark chocolate and infusing the caramel with a vaguely bitter note of bourbon. I'm not a bourbon drinker but this works. The caramel and bourbon blend beautifully and elevated by the dark chocolate, this is a unique and elevated combination. Try to find these while you can! Thanks for the sweet introduction, Ben!
