Travel Snapshot: Colorful Sweets of La Boqueria, Barcelona's Central Market

It's incredible to think that there has been a central market open at the location of La Boqueria in Barcelona since the year 1271. The bustling market continues to constitute a central food arena for the city, with endless rows of booths organized around proteins and vegetables. The sweets on display are so colorful and inviting, from intricate marzipan creations to a rainbow of frozen fruit pops--a feast for the eyes!

  1. I can't wait!!!! I don't get it about the frozen pops. I mean: how many can they actually sell while the pops are still fresh? Is the fried egg made of marzipan????
