Caramella Mokatine

Caramella Mokatine are classic Belgian hard candies that taste of super sweetened coffee. Rather than that artificial coffee flavoring, though, these taste real. They're delicious. I wish I could find these in New York. Thanks, Moenen, for bringing this back from Belgium!

Trolli Gummi Burger (Big and Mini)

They taste pretty gnarly but ooze charisma and whim. Each layer of the gummi burger does evoke its own (icky) flavor and texture (the "bun" and "cheese" are more spongy than the "burger" or "lettuce"). Despite nasty flavors, I think these gummy burgers are terrifically inventive and fun.

It's undecided whether the news of Triple Double Oreo is an intentional or unintentional leak by Nabisco, but alert reader Jesse, directed my attention to an online discussion of the upcoming premier. It's gross, along the lines of stuffed crust pizza (too much of a good thing), but I still can't wait to try it. Here's the link: reddit
